“ I visited King cod on an outing at the gym and was completely famished so I thought I’d give this establishment a go, and my did they not disappoint. First I’d like to start talking about the quality of service and the staff. Now, usually when it comes to ordering food I have a bad habit of taking up quite a bit of time deciding the meal which can be annoying for the employees; However the employees here where extremely kind and weren’t bothered by my lack of haste. Specifically Dylan Garcha, Freddie Theobald, Jayden basi and Tyler. They were incredibly lovely to be around and wore wonderful smiles throughout the entirety of my order which took almost 30 minutes and they’d even offered to charge my phone. I honestly have never seen staff so dedicated to there job, it’s truly impressive. I see those young lads going far in life. Now onto the food: it was beyond excellent. In the end I ordered their special chicken burger and chips meal cooked by Tyler and I was very impressed. Th chicken was cooked to perfection and the fries were a perfect temperature and weren’t too oily like the cheap restaurants usually found in the area. I appreciate the effort put into the meal and really respect the time taken to prepare it. Even their doner burger which I tried was beautiful. 10 out of 10 recommend grabbing a bite to eat if you’re in kempston. To put this review to an end I’ll briefly mention the atmosphere; To be honest it was great there was music A TV and the staff made the place feel like a 2nd home. Only complaint I have is it could have done with some different music. Overall I had an amazing experience and will 100% be going back soon. ”

“ I visited King Cod in Kempston and had a really good experience overall. The portions were generous, and the cod was fresh and perfectly cooked – juicy inside with a crispy batter. The chips were tasty too, though they could have been a little crispier for my liking. The menu offers a good variety, from classic fish & chips to burgers and meal deals, so there’s something for everyone. Service was generally quick, although the staff seemed a little rushed — a bit more warmth would have made the experience even better. The decor is quite basic and could use a little refresh, but honestly, the quality of the food and fair pricing make up for it. If you’re after a reliable spot for a hearty meal in Kempston, King Cod is definitely worth a visit. ”

“ This is the 2nd time I have ordered fish and chips on a Friday night. To be honest the delivery was late but no fault of the shop rather more do with Just Eat Driver. The fish was so freshly cooked and right amount of batter. The chips were freshly cut from real potatoes not that powder stuff you get in other places. Over all the service was Great and probably next time would be better to go in person to collect. But well worth the wait for the freshly cooked fish and chips. ”

The food that was served was of an exceptional Standard. I was very impressed from my own experience one of the best fish and chip shops in bedford by far they are located on Bedford Road in kempston . To everyone at King cod and especially owner Kully I would like to say a massive thank you feeling hungry King Cod is the place you want to be, you will be served by a Queen.
